Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to supporting and enhancing the services offered by public libraries. Members come from all walks of life and share a common passion for promoting literacy, lifelong learning, and access to information for all community members. Through advocacy, fundraising, and programming, Friends of the Library helps to ensure Bentonville Public Library remains vibrant and essential resources for people of all ages and backgrounds.

In 2023 The Friends of the Library sponsored Bentonville Public Library’s:

  • Author events
  • Summer reading
  • Geek Con
  • And many more initiatives!

The Friends of the Bentonville Library is always looking for volunteers also. Volunteers work in the following capacities:

1.  In the Read it Again Bookstore

2.  Processing donations on site.

3.  Sorting books offsite

4.  Working at one of our large sales (spring, summer and fall)

5.  Transporting books to/from storage

6.  Special projects
