BPL is for Readers!

Book Clubs

BPL offers a large number of Book Clubs for Adults, Teens, and Tweens. And for the little ones, we have Storytimes targeted to the specific developmental level of various ages.

Book Club Kits & Book to Movie Club Kits (web page coming soon)

Have a Book Club and want some help? Great news! We have over 200 Book Club Kits that provide books, guides, and more!

In 2025 we noticed a need for an easier way to access literature, so we developed our Book to Movie Club Kits.

We're always adding more, so if there's a book/movie you're looking for, Suggest a Purchase!

Special Collections

Sometimes you just know what you like and you want to get in, peruse all the things in that category, find exactly what you're looking for, and check out!

We have separated out several collections for this very purpose, including:

  • Tabletop Games
  • Graphic Novels (in Children, Teen, and Adult categories)
  • Large Print Fiction and Nonfiction
  • Business
  • Test Prep (in Teen)
  • World Languages (in Children, Teen, and Adult categories)
  • DVDs
  • Library of Things

Digital Resources

In addition to the reading materials in the building, we offer our readers multiple outlets for eBooks, audiobooks, and eMagazines. Visit our Digital Resources for more!

Recommendations

BPL offers SO MANY ways you can find a new book. Be sure to:

  • Ask Library Staff!
  • Peruse special displays around the Library
  • Visit NoveList Plus - a machine developed by Librarians to recommend based on an incredible number of elements
  • Take a look at our Book Club lists
  • Review our Book Club Kits and Book to Movie Kits

Bookish Events

Often reading is a solitary thing, but sometimes you want to get together with other readers and do more bookish things, like author talks, bookish crafts, and more!

Keep an eye on our socials, our newsletter, our events page, and our take home calendars!

Reading Spaces (coming soon)

A new expansion allowed us to design spaces specific to reading, and the renovations allowed us to move things around in existing spaces. Make sure you try them all to find your favorites, especially:

  • McGaugh Adult Reading Room
  • Reading Courtyard
  • 211 Cafe
  • Children's Kiddie Corrals
  • cozy nooks here and there
  • inside and outside!

Can't find what you're looking for?

We do our best to ensure our collection includes a wide variety of titles that meet the needs of our patrons. If you can't find what you're looking for, the first step is to ask Library Staff for help. That's what we're here for!

If we can't find it, let us know you'd like us to purchase it! Our online Suggest a Purchase form is the best way to have books, magazines, digital resources, and Library of Things added to our collection.
