Library Items by Mail for Homebound Patrons

As part our Outreach Services, Bentonville Public Library can mail library items to patrons who live in the City of Bentonville who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term illness, injury, impairment, medical condition, age-related issue, or disability.

If you or someone you know would like to take advantage of BPL's Homebound Services, please complete the Homebound Services Application.

If you have any questions, please contact our Outreach Coordinator at 479-326-6562 or by email through our Connect With Us page.

How does it work?

Library staff will select materials for you based on your preferences.  Specific title requests can be made on our website or with the Outreach Coordinator.  Items will be checked out for a period of 3 weeks. Materials will arrive to your residence in a reusable mailer bag with a two-sided shipping label.  When you’re done, refill the bag, flip the shipping label to the other side, and leave for your mail carrier.  Once the library receives your returned materials, we will prepare and send your next delivery.

Materials Available

  • Regular print books, large print books, and magazines are available for mail delivery.
  • Up to five (5) items will be delivered at one time.

Fines and Fees

This service is free of charge.  There will be no late fees on materials checked out through this program.  If items are damaged or lost, the patron is responsible for associated costs.
